We survived WBHC / EBHC in Switzerland!

Welcome to Wildhaus, Switzerland!

Scenic landscape, flawless Swiss organisation (that's for those who remember Portugal last year ;)), beautiful courses and magnificent archers (especially the French, but I may be biased here...)... but also torrents of rain, temperatures worthy of November (I'm not kidding, it actually SNOWED on the peaks) et mud baths: it was a unique experience, both exhausting and eventually nearly pleasant. Yes, I mean that.

Never forget (I love that T-shirt!):

Podiums

I apologise for not putting up more photos in this section but I must admit I got a bit bored after the first few hours. Or was it centuries? Anyway, it went on FOREVER and I quit. Send me photos if you have others!

Pals

A few friendly faces, out of many.

Both Yoshi and Sabrina are German and yours truly (in the middle) is French. Have you noticed the flags above our heads?

Manfred came second, Ludwig beat my father last year in Portugal. This year he shot in the BH-R category and won again. Congratulations!

The French

Part of our ridiculously small team of French people.

The man with the lollipop claims to be my father. I was not quite so sure at that point... Of course, on Friday I called him Daddy again ;)).

YOU'RE THE WORLD CHAMPION, Daddy! Yes, and European champ also!

Little critters and plants

In Switzerland there are cows (could anybody send me a photo of those nice grey cows?), but also goats...

... black salamanders...

... and funny-looking llamas!

(“you look damn weird to me, human!”)

A few flowers: the edelweiss, a wild carnation and... something else. If you know the name of the “something else”, tell me.

Blue Course Toggenburg

After a cold, wet, and generally miserable Monday spent crawling up and down slopes through mud and sheets of rain (sounds good, right?), we had a sunny Tuesday. So I took my camera along and took a few shots of the Blue course and my fellow Historical-Bow archers. That was a nice day! You can catch a glimpse here of Angelika, Hannah, Hannelore, Sabrina, Pia, Helga, Elisabeth (I, Marlene, am taking the photos, so I don't have to be on them, he, he!)

We enjoyed shooting that day, then on Wednesday (our day off!) and Thursday it rained cats and dogs and Swiss cows – again.
